Response: I love this song and the album it's from (Midnight Boom). It's especially good to sing along to when you're doing the washing up or working on something dull (as I am currently).

Your Woman - White Town

Response: I probably haven't listened to this for about ten years, and am pleasantly surprised to find that I still like it. This instantly conjures up the heyday of Mark Radcliffe's Radio 1 show for me, and my initial response was to try to find audio clips of Mark and Lard somewhere on the internet. Then my work ethic reasserted itself, and I stopped fucking around.

Crash - Howard Shore

Response: When I first watched David Cronenberg's unsettling Crash, I was particularly struck by the soundtrack, which had an almost hypnotic effect on me. Anyway, my overall response today was to be immediately creeped out. This is a great soundtrack to work to, though.

Don't Tread On Me - Metallica

Response: Biro drumming on the array of half-filled cups and glasses currently taking up much of my desk space. Then briefly pondering the idea that "to secure peace is to prepare for war". Then singing.
